Subscriptions & Recurring Payments

Some services provided by fortheworld OÜ may be billed on a recurring basis. This article explains how recurring payments work, what to check before authorizing a payment, and what to do if a payment fails or you want to change your subscription.

How do recurring payments work?

Recurring payments allow you to pay for an ongoing service at agreed intervals, such as monthly or annually.

The applicable price, billing frequency, payment method, and subscription conditions depend on the service you purchase and the agreement in place.

Before authorizing a recurring payment, review the applicable terms to understand the amount you will be charged, the billing schedule, and the conditions for cancellation.

How can I authorize recurring payments?

Where recurring card payments are available, you may be asked to provide your payment details through a secure payment page operated by our payment provider.

Before confirming your authorization, check the displayed price, billing frequency, and any applicable introductory period or trial conditions.

Activate recurring payments only with your explicit authorization. The applicable payment and subscription terms will explain how future charges are handled.

When will I be charged?

The billing date depends on your subscription or service agreement.

Your payment confirmation, invoice, or subscription terms should explain when the first payment is due and when subsequent payments will be collected.

If you are unsure when your next payment is scheduled, contact our Billing Department for clarification.

What happens if a recurring payment fails?

A payment may fail because of insufficient funds, an expired card, a bank restriction or another payment-processing issue.

If a payment fails:

  1. Check whether your bank or payment provider has supplied a reason.

  2. Verify that your payment method is valid.

  3. Follow the payment provider's instructions to resolve the issue.

  4. Contact our Billing Department if you need assistance.

A failed payment may leave an invoice or subscription balance outstanding. Depending on your agreement and applicable terms, it may also affect access to the associated service.

Can I change my payment method?

If your service supports payment-method changes, you can follow the instructions provided with your subscription or payment account.

If you cannot update your payment details yourself, contact our Billing Department for assistance.

For your security, never send your full card number, card security code, banking password or authentication codes by email.

Can I cancel a subscription?

Cancellation conditions depend on the applicable subscription terms and agreement.

Before requesting cancellation, review the relevant conditions, including any notice period, renewal date, and obligations associated with your subscription.

To request assistance, contact our Billing Department and identify the service or subscription concerned.

Canceling a recurring payment and terminating a service agreement are not necessarily the same thing. Make sure you understand the applicable cancellation procedure and any remaining contractual obligations.

What happens after cancellation?

The effect of cancellation depends on your agreement and the service concerned.

Your terms should explain whether cancellation prevents the next renewal, when access ends and whether any outstanding amounts remain payable.

If you are unsure about the effective cancellation date, contact our Billing Department before your next scheduled payment.

What if I do not recognize a recurring charge?

If you see a charge that you do not recognize, contact our Billing Department promptly.

Include the transaction date, amount, currency, and any relevant invoice or payment reference. Do not share sensitive card or banking credentials.

We will help you identify the payment and clarify the appropriate next steps.

If you believe a transaction is unauthorized, you should also contact your bank or payment provider promptly.
